Jesse Mendelson

Bio:
Jesse Mendelson has a varied background combining his legal training and experience with depth in management consulting gained from firms such as Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte.  He now works with a fast-growing supply chain services business, LogicSource Inc., as Group Managing Director assisting clients in pursuit of the most cost-effective solutions for the elusive categories within indirect spend.

Jesse is a problem solver, consultant, strategist, entrepreneur, facilitator, and leader - and a published sportswriter. He has spent nearly two decades in consulting and client service, gaining valuable expertise along the way in design thinking, product management, and marketing and sales strategies. He has worked with over 300 private and public sector organizations across the globe in healthcare, financial services, technology, manufacturing, and higher education – and helped transform organizations, make markets, build businesses, steer turnarounds, maximize profitability, improve the value chain, and create sustainable structures and processes.

With over 20 years of experience in supply chain and procurement, Jesse is looking forward to sharing his experience with a focus on how he implements LogicSource’s unique business model with companies across the country. This unique approach supports improving the efficiency and especially optimizing the spend on everything from Inventory and throughput to operations and most of all, supply chain and procurement.

Jesse’s current focus is helping clients manage the ever-elusive Indirect Spend, otherwise known as the goods and services needed to run the business, which often cost as much as 20% of revenue (to put that into perspective, 20% of a $500M business is $100 Million dollars!).  Even an 8-10% savings on that 20% could be $8-$10MM!! 

Indirect Spend categories can be fragmented, embedded and hidden in expense reports and department budgets.  It typically includes goods and services and non-product expenses supporting daily operations like:

•    Marketing
•    Logistics
•    Business Supplies
•    Janitorial, Facilities, Security
Indirect Spend is often under-resourced, decentralized and offers untapped potential for profit improvement!
